Professional Dog Training at
Fieldgate Farm
Fieldgate Farm is a one-stop shop for all your dog’s training needs. We start formal puppy training as young as 8 weeks of age and specialize in service animals for our larger community. Our puppy program is offered in 2-week increments from as little as 2 weeks of training to as much as 8 weeks of training.
When you bring home a CVL-trained puppy, you are getting:
A Colonial Village Australian Labradoodle or Australian Bernedoodle bred for health and temperament.
A two-year health guarantee.
All of the training, manners, cues, and socialization are listed as a part of the corresponding program you signed up for. (While also realizing these are animals and not machines. Each puppy is unique with their own personality, strengths, and weaknesses. Some progress faster than others.) If your dog is not performing up to our standards we may offer a couple of extra days or sessions for free to get them up to our standards.
Training updates three times a week.
Individualized communication and a dog-specific training plan
A one-hour training session with your assigned trainer to learn what your dog knows, and learn how to recreate these cues and behaviors at home. This is your opportunity to ask any training questions! Our goal is always to set you up for success and for you to get the most out of your relationship with your dog.
Meet Our Trainers

Mica
Mica has 10+ years of training experience. She has earned several certifications including CPDT-KA, FFCP, Pro Pet Hero First Aid, and CPR, as well as being an AKC CGC evaluator. Mica is passionate about helping individuals and families get the most out of their relationships with their dogs! She also strongly believes in the ability of dogs to help people and loves working with therapy and service dogs. Mica’s own doodle works as a therapy dog bringing joy and comfort to others.

Ava
Ava has 10+ years of experience training dogs for competitive obedience, agility, hunting, and show, and has been training professionally for 5+ years. In addition to studying for her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University Kokomo, Ava is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and is CPDT-KA certified. Ava prides herself on her extensive training background, and ability to help families get the most out of their relationship with their dog.

Board & Train/ Puppy Training Programs
Board and Train is our most popular training option at Fieldgate Farm. Each family is assigned to one of our three trainers during their stay. That trainer is your personal guide to dog/puppy obedience. They will customize a training plan for your pet and work with you throughout the whole process from beginning to end. At the conclusion of training, you will also get an hour long exit lesson with them and your dog.

Day School
Drop off your dog at 9 am and pick him/her up at 5 pm for a full day of training and fun at Fieldgate Farm. At the end of the day, one of our trainers will do a 15-minute exit lesson with you and your pet to show you how to implement what they worked on at home.

Private Training Session
Private training sessions are a great option for really polishing your dog’s behavior. If you have a specific issue that you are working through this is a great time to nip the issue in the bud. In-home sessions are available for non-CVL dogs and dogs of all breeds! Private training sessions have an additional driving fee if conducted in your home*.
